Detention - Fridays

School Code of Conduct and Behaviour Bank System:  We take discipline seriously at CityKidz Primary School. We have a detailed School Code of Conduct and have put a system of merits and demerit points in place in the form of the Behaviour Bank. All learners are to abide by the provisions laid out in the Code of Conduct.

We will be introducing a Friday Detention class for children who constantly disobey our Code of Conduct. Learners will receive detention slips for poor work ethic or disruptive behaviour. 10 (Ten) Demerits received will result in an hour and half Detention on Fridays after school. Learners have to realise that their actions have consequences. An official detention letter will be sent home with the date and time of the detention .When a detention slip is produced at home we would appreciate it if the matters on the slip are dealt with by the parents. We appeal to you not to undermine this sanction. Detention dates and times are final and learners are to attend the detention.

You are requested to take an active part in teaching your child discipline and it is the parents’ responsibility to ensure compliance of our Code of Conduct. All learners were issued with the Learners Code of Conduct.  If you need to read through this with your child it is available on our website.
