Grade 7s create their plastic bottle top wall mural

The grade 7's are enjoying the creation of their plastic bottle top wall mural. It is such a fantastic project that highlights environmental awareness and conservation. Plastic bottle tops are particularly problematic, as they can not be recycled together with the rest of the plastic bottles. This is because they are made of a different type of plastic.

Learners have been collecting bottle tops for months and we have thousands. So now there are many less lying around the inner city, instead they are creating colourful reminders of why we need to look after our surroundings. We are so thankful to our student teacher, Mr. S. Yends, who has been instrumental in the process.
