Jungle Book" at the Jo'burg People’s theatre

Monday 2 March 2020 was a day to remember for our Grade 6s at CityKidz. They were afforded to the opportunity to watch the children's show "Jungle Book" at the Jo'burg People’s theatre.  The children were excited to attend the show. Everyone was talking about it on our way to the theatre.

The short bus ride to the theatre was like eternity for the children. The show itself lived up to the hype. The jungle was  jumpin' with the jazzy beat of Disney's The Jungle Book. The host of delightful characters such as the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan, the boy named Mowgli, his panther friend, Bagheera, the sinister snake named Kaa, a herd of elephants and a giant bear named Baloo. The learners were enthralled by the characters and captivated by the dangerous encounter with the band of monkeys led by King Louie, Mowgli and Bagheera. They enjoyed every minute of the show. They particularly enjoyed  Mowgli and Baloo. There were loud cheers for them every time they were on stage.

It was an enjoyable show. The children loved it, and when it ended they were still asking for more ungle action.
