Our Grade 2-7’s will be attending the performance: ROBIN HOOD AND THE BABES IN THE WOOD
Bongi Mthombeni and Paige Lindenberg visited our school last term with Mr Wayne Plit. During the visit we discussed the fact that Bongi, an Idols finalist, was performing as Will Scarlet in this year’s pantomime at the Johannesburg theatre. Between Mr Plit and Bongi they motivated why CityKidz children, who had never had the opportunity to attend a cultural event such as a pantomime or the theatre, should get the chance to experience Janice Honeyman's Brand New Pantomime Adventure - Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood.
Last week we received confirmation from Mr Bernard Jay that we were indeed invited.
He said “ We are delighted to offer the 394 children of CityKidz Pre and Primary School their first visit to the magic of live theatre by inviting them all, free of charge, to the performance of the pantomime ROBIN HOOD AND THE BABES IN THE WOOD at Joburg Theatre in Braamfontein on Friday November 4th at 14h00.The real value of this invitation would be R39,400.00. We'll arrange a photo after the show with the children and Bongi and some other members of the cast.
Our Grade 2-7’s will be attending the performance. Parents will receive a letter with a reply slip. (All children need to ensure that their behaviour is exemplary in order to receive this wonderful gift!)
