On Saturday 29 October all staff attended a workshop at school. Our topic was “Discipline” we updated and refreshed our knowledge and entertained discussion around improving the discipline of our learners.
By creating houses from old boxes, our Grade 1's showed their creativity and "building"skills. They built model houses they would like to own one day!
CityKidz celebrated Heritage Day on 22 September 2016.
Spring has officially sprung!! Our Spring Civvies Day was celebrated by each child making a hat from recycled materials. The Grade 4's enjoyed parading their fabulous hats during the fashion show.
The Grade 4's enjoyed Spring Civvies day by demonstrating their creative and artistic abilities. They designed wonderful hats which showcased their artistic ability. If this talent is nurtured, we have great artists in the making. Hats off to you Grade 4 learners!!
For Spring day we had a Spring Fling Hat Day Competition. The kids loved it.
A reading corner is the heart beat of a classrooms environment. It is a window into the educators personality as well as a very an important asset in every classroom. CityKidz embarked on a reading corner competition and as a result produced excellent and stunning reading cornersn throughout all the grades.
The Department of Education embarked on an art competition for the Foundation Phase.
Last week the Grade 2’s had a fantastic time taking part in dressing up as their favourite book characters and authors.
BIC presented an edutainment show for our learners which inspired and encouraged them to consider their future education and careers and to remember that dreams can be reached regardless of current circumstances!
