Civvies Day at CityKidz Primary School was robo-riffic as learners and staff dressed up as robots for a futuristic-themed celebration! The classes were filled with very cre- ative costumes—some made from cardboard boxes, electronic motherboards, others with shiny foil and LED lights.
From Grade RR to Grade 7, the costumes were outstanding. ‘I’ve been working on this for months,’ said Jonathan in Grade 6.
Robo-riffic day was jam-packed with activities. Little robots in the Foundation Phase charmed us all with their songs and dances. Later, the school hall became a dance floor as Intersen learners showed off their best moves in a high-energy dance battle. The judges had a tough time picking winners because every perfor- mance was out of this world! Congratulations to all the winners.
Next came the Robot Fashion Show, where learners strutted down the runway in amazing handmade costumes. Some wore cardboard armour with blinking lights, while others dressed as friendly droids or high-tech cyborgs. The crowd cheered for the most creative de- signs, and prizes were given for Best Outfit and Coolest Moves! Robo-treats and eats were munched on all day. Learners enjoyed robo-burgers, robo-pops and robo-sticks. Delicious and robo-tasty.
A huge thank you to learners, staff and parents who made this Civvies Day a tru- ly android/humanoid experience! Until next time…" Beep beep beep!"
