Let the games begin….Once again some of our teachers were chosen to be filmed for a project that will demonstrate how teachers with limited resources can use games made from recyclable materials, which will also enhance the learning process. Concepts in English, Maths and Life Skills are taught through the use of games to allow leaners to focus better, build academic confidence as well as social and problem solving skills. Most importantly, they help to strengthen peer relationships and foster a positive classroom atmosphere.
Some of the games included were using tessellations to teach compound words, using coloured skittles made from toilet rolls to teach listening skills, using a recycled “feely bag “ to teach identification, texture and senses.
All children enjoy games , what better way to let them have fun and learn at the same time?
