Grade 1 trip to Wonderland

26 April 2018
People's Theatre - Alice in Wonderland

The four grade one classes embarked on an exciting journey to watch Alice In Wonderland at The Peoples Theatre. All ready and eager the busses left CityKidz at 8:20am pronto.

Upon arrival the learners were kindly greeted by the friendly staff and we were ushered to our seats. Learners were glued to their seats for the interesting and interactive play:

Travel down the rabbit hole and join Alice, one of literature’s most beloved heroines, in her madcap adventures. The ever-curious Alice’s journey begins innocently enough as she chases the White Rabbit. Her adventures become increasingly more strange as she races the Dodo Bird, gets tied up with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, raps with a bubble-blowing Caterpillar and beats the Queen of Hearts at her own game!

Our learner's behavior was commendable and impeccable. The play ended with the learners singing along.

Back in the busses and off the hungry grade ones went to picnic at the Zoo Lake. The learners enjoyed the supervised time they got on the jungle gym and relaxation on the lawns.

Overall the Grade 1's excursion was a huge success and much fun.
