Intermediate & Senior prize giving

Step right up, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! The grand event of the year has arrived, and it was no ordinary prize-giving ceremony. It was full of laughter, awe-inspiring performances and of course, the recognition of our exceptional students.

On Friday the 1st of December, our school was transformed into a whimsical spectacle, capturing the essence of the circus world. The hall was magically transformed into a circus tent, complete with colourful balloons and twinkling stars. As the ceremony began, the ringmaster took centre stage, donning a top hat and a sparkling coat. The audience cheered as the spotlight shone on our talented students, each one a shining star in their own right.

The exhibited trophies and awards themselves were a shining spectacle. Gold, Silver and Platinum Awards recognise those who have soared to new heights in their academic studies. The Merit, Diligence and Behaviour Awards honour the students who have worked hard, given of their best and been well-behaved, even when no one was looking. Several learners received multiple awards for their remarkable achievements.

CityKidz is proud of cultivating the excellence on show today. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who attended our unforgettable prize-giving ceremony. As we celebrate the achievements of our students, we remain committed to nurturing a sense of pride and accomplishment within our learners, inspiring them to reach for new heights.

In between award presentations, the audience was treated to amazing acts performed by our entertainers. The infectious giggles of the Grade 4’s performance had the audience in fits of laughter. The sad tale of an unfunny clown, recited by Grade 5, made us see the sorrow too. The Grade 6’s entertained and inspired learners to reach for the stars.

A few of the highlights of the ceremony were the speeches by the Grade 7's: the Dux Scholar, The Principal's Awardee, The Orator recipient, Head Girl and Head Boy. These learners have demonstrated exceptional character, leadership, and community service throughout the school year. We thank them for their service.

The prize-giving ceremony not only showcased the incredible accomplishments of our students but also emphasised the significance of unity and community. The event could not have been possible without the unwavering support of our teachers and parents who played an integral role in the growth and achievements of our learners. Together, we will continue to foster a vibrant and nurturing environment, guiding our students towards an extraordinary future.

As the curtain fell on our prize-giving ceremony for Grades 4-7, the memories created under the big top will linger in the hearts of our learners for years to come. This imaginative celebration not only recognises academic achievements but also emphasises the importance of joy, teamwork, and the pursuit of dreams. After all, life itself is the greatest show on earth, and our students are the stars of the spectacular circus that is their education. On behalf of the entire CityKidz community, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to our principal for her outstanding leadership and unwavering dedication to our school. Her hard work and commitment to excellence have not gone unnoticed. Under her guidance and with the assistance of the Hod’s, Grade Leaders, team of teachers, administration staff, finance staff and maintenance staff our school has thrived, both academically and socially. CityKidz has become a place where learners feel challenged, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. The entire team’s passion for education is contagious, and it has motivated us all to strive for greatness.
