As we fly through Term 3, our Grade 2 pupils have been learning about one of the most exciting, interesting and relevant topics: “Transport”. Learners were tasked with creating a 3D model of their favourite mode of transport and had to tell their fellow classmates why their chosen mode was their favourite.
Grand entries, clowns, magic and comedic rola-bola was the order of the day! CityKidz celebrated the onset of Spring by having a special Civvies Circus Day. The event was a colourful pageant with all the circus goers dressing in full circus regalia.
Our Grade R learners learned to recognize and make sounds of various animals during their Animals Theme Week in Term. Together with their families, they made the most creative animal masks.
Grade R learners enjoyed the horse ride and commented how very big he was! Pappa Lloyd looked very comfortable on the big horse when it was his turn! Grade RR learners enjoyed the train ride, waving to everyone in sight! If you looked carefully, you would have spotted Ma'am King and Ma'am Fatima on the train! The learners got to see ducks, chickens, sheep and noisy goats.
Lesedi cultural village is a tourist village which celebrates the cultural traditions of several different people of Southern Africa. It reproduces traditional dwellings and offers demonstrations of dances and other cultural activities. Our Grade 5 learners learnt about the 5 different cultures and their dances, which are: Zulu, Xhosa, Pedi, Sotho, and Ndebele.

We had our Spelling Bee this morning. It was incredibeely exciting...This was the first time the spelling bee has been held in person since 2019. It was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Today’s Slumber Party has been the day our children have been waiting for since the beginning of the year! The children and staff were given the opportunity to wear their snazzy, snuggly jammies. Each grade had a fun-time-slot to groove to DJ Unity Mauzah. It was the perfect wintery day to get cosied up in warm attire and dance off the cold.
Have you ever wondered where that juice box, chewed up straw or sweet wrapper go? Most Grade 3s figured that was the easiest question to answer. In the bin, in the bin! They shouted with excitement. Then what? the teachers enquired further.
