Grade 5 Crocodile and Snake Park

Last Friday our adventurous Grade 5 learners went on a terrific trip to Croc City. This lovely outing was the perfect blend of fun, adventure and learning.

Educational sessions from knowledgeable guides gave interesting facts about the habitat, behaviour and the unique adaptations of crocs while our learners viewed them safely from very close quarters.

The highlight of the trip was the Croc City Flyover. The Croc City Flyover is an exhilarating zip-lining experience which goes over the crocodile enclosures. Our Grade 5s showed us that they are fearless and geared up for the task. With hearts racing and adrenaline pumping, they soared through the air while catching breathtaking views of the crocodiles below. Whew!

Adding to the adventure, our learners were given the chance to hold a baby crocodile, feeling its scaly skin and marvelling at its tiny yet powerful jaws. They also handled snakes under the guidance of expert handlers, overcoming fears and gaining newfound respect for these often misunderstood creatures.

Our brave Grade 5s went home with thrilling memories and a growing curiosity for the world around them.
