Appreciation is the recognition and enjoyment of the good qualities of someone or something. Appreciation can also mean a rise in value and acknowledgement of the benefit that one has received.
We need to have or develop a sense of appreciation. The images show our children helping those in need and children reciprocating by showing appreciation. We also need to appreciate the fact that people make mistakes and forgive those who do wrong things to us when they say "sorry".
Equipping our children for accidents
From the moment a child takes his/her first steps they are likely prone to have some minor accidents and tumbles.Cuts, scrapes, and bruises are among the most common injuries, and no family member is safe from minor accidents. While we can't always prevent our natural born dare-devils from getting hurt, there are plenty of things we can do to make them feel better.
At CityKidz we teach our children basic first aid techniques.
CityKidz Grade 7’s experienced a sun filled day of trials and physical exertion at Happy Acres in the Magaliesburg on Wednesday.
Creative writing is an art of sorts - the art of making things up. It's writing done in a way that is not academic or technical but still attracts an audience. Though the definition is rather loose, creative writing can for the most part be considered any writing that is original and self-expressive. A news article, for example, cannot be considered creative writing because its main goal is to present facts and not to express the feelings of the writer. While a news article can be entertaining, its main purpose is to present the facts.
Our Grade Ones are possible inventors, each sailing on a voyage of self discovery.Their only way of finding their limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible. Since they are still young their goals are just out of reach but not out sight. Our wish for them is to be happy, well-balanced individuals.
